great product at reasonable price. I used it most of time when i want to thickend some liquid for my pastries as a sauce and need to stirr all the time. It works perfectly with me, i just bought a rechargeable battery ciz i used it all the time. It will last about 2 hours and you can adjust the speed from 1 to 3 depends on your stirring requirements.
Got this for my mom and she LOVES it. She didn't realize they still made good products like this :) She is very happy with it!
Works fine. Saves a lot of hand-stirring.
it was a christmas present so i can not give you a honest reveiw except for the fast delivery service and the price was very reasonable

This little gadget is wonderful. I hate standing at the stove stirring pudding or sauces when I need to be doing other things in the kitchen. I just made chocolate pudding yesterday and it stirred around the pot for me while I did other things. It stirred evenly and kept the pudding from boiling and sticking to the pot. I'm thinking of getting some for gifts. I wish I had this years ago! I would recommend this to all.Wonderful and very useful!

It really works
This works great stirring packet brown gravy etc. Just dont use it for tbick stuff because ot wont work for thick stuff.
I was standing at the stove stirring a sauce pan of milk that I wanted to bring to a slow boil. It normally takes about 20 minutes of constant stirring. Then I remembered the autostir and thought I would give it a try and it worked wonderfully. I have only used it twice--but for making any sauce that requires heating milk so that it will not burn, this is a great alternative.
It's a small gizmo, but when you have battery power around liquids the thing needs to be well made. And it is. I made a demi-glace sauce, that starts with sauteing some shallots, then liquids get added. The little guy was very happy to just sit there and stir. And it wandered all over the pan, so that nothing would go unstirred .A nice feature of it is the flat circular feet, that rub all over the bottom of the pan. This will keep any parts of the liquid from burning. So I let the sauce just simmer slowly, with the stirrer going around in it, on low heat, and ignored it for quite a while. When I next checked it, it had thickened nicely and was ready to go and was perfectly smooth. The sauce was a great success, and the gizmo saved my time--I could focus on other dishes while it stirred.I don't know whether the stirrer will work with thicker foods such as risotto, that's to be seen. My expectation now is that it'll be best with thinner liquids such as the sauce that I made, creme anglaise, and such things. At this price, if you'd like to avoid some stirring, I recommend it.
Great product! Easy to use and keeps my sauces from burning~Three different speeds for slow, medium, or fast stirring.
This has different settings. On high it does move the pot around so you need to keep an eye on it but on low it does just what you hope it will, keeps the liquid moving so it won't scorch. I'm happy to have found them as mine was a gift and I'd like to give some as gifts.
Didn't really work & Wife threw it out after only a few uses. Great concept, not sure about execution.
This thing is great, especially for those times when adding something to a boiling pot that really needs to be stirred continuously.A great example is cooking something like cream of wheat. Just start the autostir on the medium setting, two clicks, and pour in the dry cream of wheat. You can add fairly quickly because the autostir keeps it from lumping up. You have to be quite careful and slow when stirring with a spoon, but not so with the autostir. Also works with soups and sauces, that need to be stirred while warming or cooking.I love using it!
I've found it really only works well on low, but low has worked well to make a roux and gravy without burning.
I had seen the item at a friends place and thought it was a must have. Extremely usefull addition to my utensils.
i used it to make gravy and there were no lumps! really cool, i would recommend it. probably good to make pudding too.
Use it all the time to make my gumbo
This is a great product for the cook who multitasks while in the kitchen.

You get what you pay for and this product works exceptionally well for soups and most puddings. If you want a device that will stir cement, be prepared to spend much more. This product saves me several hours a week in the kitchen and I am able to do two things at once. I will probably get another one as they are so handy and easy to operate.
works for me
I do not have to stand there and stir the oatmeal....and it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. GREAT IDEA!!!!
I bought this for my inlaws who love to cook. They had never seen it before and were excited to try it out. I wish I had bought a second one for me.
I consider myself to be an accomplished cook and baker, and also a savy shopper. I do not buy a lot of gadgets, preferring to invest in high quality items that are multi-functional, easy to care for, and that will last. While cleaning out my daughters cupboards prior to a house move last year, she asked me if I wanted "this thing." It was still in the package, unopened. I was going to put it in my "going-to-the-consignment-shop" basket, when I decided to give it a try while making the custard for homemade ice-cream. Long-story short: I don't know how I lived without "this thing"! I use it frequently for custards, gravies, sauces, etc..... anything that needs to be continuously stirred. It works well with my digital thermometer probe that hangs over the side of the pan. Not only does it prevent hot-spot burning, but it seems to allow the mixture to heat up more quickly. I put the functional end of the stirrer in my dishwasher to clean it. I'm going to purchase a bunch of these and use them for hostess gifts for those friends who love cooking and would never buy one of these on their own!
I just made Apple Butter (7 hrs of stirring) and this thing was a life saver. I do have the 3 speed. I received it as a gift so I don't know how much was paid for it. I removed one star because the batteries were a bit loose to start with but I put a rubberband around them to hold them from vibrating loose and then it worked great. Saved my arm and my pot for sure.
Partly my fault for leaving it unattended, but isnt that the point?
It works great. Tried it making a sauce & it kept it from scorching. I didn't have to babysit it. I thought it came with a stand but it does not.
easy item to use.. now it makes everything so useful I think everyone should one one these also its a great gift.
I LOVE this item! I can make tapioca, pudding, gravy, etc. Add a heat defuser and it NEVER scorches. While preparing a meal it stirs while I do other things. I've owned several and will never be without one. I bought two, one to use as a backup if needed.
An absolute must for anything that requires constant stirring.
I purchased this item for my husband for Christmas, He likes to make different kinds of soups. This works so great to keep things from sticking,
works just like expected
Fun product! I wanted help in the kitchen....especially for Thanksgiving and Christmas, my gravy would always bubble right at the time everything else was ready. Now I can do everything at once without having it burn. Product was exactly as offered and did what was promised. Very easy to use!
I love this autostir. It makes cooking a roux so easy! It is great to use whenever something has o be stirred constantly. I recommend this item to everyone! It should be a staple item in every kitchen. This is my second one and I sometimes use both at the same time.
I had seen those in commercials before and loved the idea. I was a bit worried when I received it as it looked a bit weak. After using it quite a few times now I can say I love this product, I can make pasta, sauce or anything that require constant or partial stirring without having to check on it every 2 minutes. It CAN be a bit weak if you make a big load of pasta but otherwise it's perfect for a family of 4 type portion. The price was also just awesome so am very happy and use it often!
Seem to work as advertized. Not sure how durable it will be,only time will tell. They seemed to like on The Chew which is where I first saw them.
Cheryl A McGhee
I make yogurt that takes about 45 minutes of stirring. Thanks to this handy pot stirrer, I can walk away for several minutes now. Thank you
Can't say enough about the brilliance of this little rascal! Big help in the kitchen when all the pots are going. It's a must have
I love this product and have used mine for several years. They really do a great job and free my hands for other food preparations. I have ordered this one for a family member who loves mine.
My wife loves this little gizmo. Second one we have owned, so I can't say much for it's longevity, but at the price listed, that's OK....
Use it to make yogurt, because it needs to be stirred often. Haven't used it for other things yet but looking forward to doing so.
I like this concept and for the money it is a handy little gadget for the occasional cook. I will be looking for a heavy duty model for my culinary needs. But it is cute and it works.
Sue Ann Bauers
I was really surprised to read all the bad ratings. I love my autostir! I would not be without it as it saves me from having to constantly stand over a pot and stir my sauces and gravies that need a slow continuous stirring.
If you need another set of hands while cooking, this automatic stirrer works great. Love it for soup, gravy, or sauce. It is especially great for people like me who tend to over stir.
I received the autostir for Christmas and have used it on two occasions so far. The first time was on a recipe that required dissolving a couple tablespoons of sugar into a cup and a half of milk over low heat and stirring constantly. It worked great for this task. The second time I used it was while making toffee. In an 8-inch heavy-bottom sauce pan, I used my regular wire whisk to manually stir the butter and sugar until the sugar was nearly all dissolved then set the autostir into the pan and turned it to the highest stir setting. I wasn't sure how it would do stirring something a that would only get thicker and thicker, so I stood by and watched to make sure the butter didn't burn. I let it stir for about 15-20 minutes until the mixture started becoming more brown and getting too thick for it to stir really well. It was probably near soft-crack stage at this point. I set autostir aside and resumed using the wire whisk manually for the final minutes needed to reach hard-crack stage. I was very pleased with how autostir performed.
Does it's job but it just vibrates itself into a circle. Basically prevents food from sticking to the bottom.
My dad absolutely loves this product. It is perfect for someone who loves to cook and especially good with sauces. The only downside is it only lasted for a year and then the mechanism broke. But I just bought him another one, because he enjoyed it so much.
Excellent timing in the shipping
I bought this for my daughter, and she really loves it. Adding a lot of ingredients to the pan while stirring is difficult, but with this product it makes it easy, and it really works well.
This works exactly as it states it will--I absolutely love it. I make home-made puddings, and it takes FOREVER to stir, so this is amazing!!!!
I don't understand the negative reviews about the use of this product. I've had mine for a couple of years and find it very handy for stirring sauces and liquids. I don't have to stand there stirring while I'm waiting for the gravy or whatever to cook and thicken. I love not being chained to the stovetop when I know I have 20 other things to do to get dinner ready.
it is a great time savor, I can do other things while this stirs.
Wind Rose Lyrics
It's not absolute perfection but it's worked very well for me and I have no complaints.
Katherine A. McCary
I love my Pot Stirer!!
This works great. I have used it many times over to keep milk from scalding while making yogurt or coffee creamer. great little gadget that saves me from standing over the stove.
I love my autostir. I have used it for gravy and tapioca and soups! It's such a saver! You can go about your business and not worry about scorching your milk products while cooking. I can't live without it now! I even dropped it in the dish water and thought it was dead, tossed it in the trash and when it hit the bottom it suddenly came on. I just used it tonight again! Love it! 5 stars!
Sabrina A. Nesbitt
This was a very good product. I bought it for my mother in law to use with making gravy. She loves it.
Catherine A. Harnak
This works great! I just leave it running while the heat is on. The plastic does not warp. Stirs well. No sticking, no lumps, no hassle.
Perfect. Thank you!
Our old autostir died on us and I was afraid that we would not be able to replace it. But found it online and ordered it. It is a great and handy kitchen aid. Highly recommend.
Micheal D. Prater
I typically use this on sauce that scorch easily. Particularly alfredo sauce. It will not work with anything thick, but I dont think that is what it is designed for. If I only use it for alfredo, it was worth the money for that.
I find this kitchen gadget a wonderful helper when I am reducing sauces and must stay and stir them. I recommend this product.
Once, I even forgot about it and the milk boiled over and the pot still wasn't scorched on the bottom, amazingly. I've also used it for making pudding, soup, etc. Works perfecly every time, and it's nothing to clean, just a quick rinse (the leg portion comes off). I don't understand the bad reviews; maybe people aren't using it right? I LOVE LOVE LOVE my autostir; it's saved me so much "standing and stirring" time.
Purchased the autostir after seeing it demonstrated on TV. I've used it twice in recipes. Once in a soup and once making icing.
The autostir is very sturdy and really does keep sauces from sticking. The only issue is that it only works with smaller pots as the stirring portion is only about 4 inches deep.
Seems to work okay -- not perfect, but for the price you can't really complain. I was expecting less based on other reviews but it seems to do the job.
Great Product. I have owned one of these pot stirers for several years and absolutely love it. I bought this one as a gift. When I purchased this item, I paid for a new one. I DID NOT GET WHAT I PAID FOR.
Seems to work good. Just used on tapioca pudding. Need to watch the pot or it will walk across the flat top stove.

This is one gadget that my husband loves too! We cook many dishes with sauces - this allows the sauce to cook with no sticking. I can continue other prep knowing the sauce is safe. On top of this an extra benefit is the sauces are smoother because the stirring is so uniform. My friend borrowed my first autostir and refused to return it. I bought 2 this time and they are never leaving my kitchen!
It really comes in handy when I make gravy! Don't have to stand over it and stir constantly. Also when making candy. Buy it you won't be disappointed!
Steve D. Marsh
I think this is a genius invention. It really does stir without assistance as long as the batteries are working. I bought it for my wife and she laughed at me. But I caught her using it a couple of weeks later and she had to back down. It was useful and helpful, she said. Win!
Purchased as a gift. She loves it.
I'm impressed. It works exactly as advertised.
I was quite reluctant to buy Autostir because it was a lot of bad revues posted. I think it is just luck, and I definitely got a good one in the mail. Works great for me.
This is a cute gadget. Mine works well. I just have to nudge it every now and then so it will cover all the bottom of pan. I have used it a couple of times and really like it. Good Price! A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This pot stirrer has been working for me fairly well. The highest speed stirred too. It may have something to do with the size of my sauce pan but I don't know. It took the heat fine and the legs went through the dishwasher without problem. Just don't leave it stirring on the stove and go off to do something else. Your food may burn. Guess how I know. Yah, not too smart, but I did.
i bought the autostir which has 3 speeds and have used atleast 10 times till now and it has not failed me. i guess its a cute little robot. Din't give 5 stars because i feel it should have been a little longer in height so that it could be used in deeper dishes with larger quantity to stir in.
I love to make alfredo sauce, hate that it has to be constantly stirred. Not any more, my autostirrer is perfect! Perfect gift for the cook that has everything!Edna Ledoux Jamieson
I love Eggs Benedict but hate standing over and stirring the Hollandaise sauce, this robot does the job to perfection.
Good product, but only three stars because after regular use, Robo Stir gained sentience, discovered what it's purpose in life was, and then promptly destroyed itself by scuppering across the floor to the heavy-duty outlet and stabbing its stir-sticks into the holes. The worst part was listening to it scream "WHY?" as it died.
Love this little contraption....works well and I don't have to stand over the pot and constantly stir. Use it alot.
received in great cindition, it works well, no problems
It is great as you don't need longer to stay next to pan while cooking. Some of my friends bought it after I bought mine.
Norman D Squires
I highly recommend this, especially if you dislike having to stir items that must be stirred for a long period of time.
I love it for stirring constantly in my gravies or candy making, etc. It beats have to manually stand there and stirring so stuff doesn't burn.
I saw this on The Chew and thought what a cool idea. I have used it several times for sauces and gravies. It eliminates the need to babysit the pot
We recommend The autostir. It accomplishes the job of keeping reasonably thin liquids from scorching. It will not do everything but is a useful addition to a kitchen.
Doesn't really work and not as useful as I was expecting
Works great when making gravies and puddings!
Personally, I am very happy to have freed up some stirring time for my cocoa, soups (i.e. can of soup) and gravies.
So far, it is working just fine - a gift for my daughter.
Makes me now want to make those things that I dreaded with the words "stir continuously" on the packaging... cooked pudding, hot cereal.
Robyn E Anderson
This works pretty well. It's pretty neat. It rotates around the pot and stirs. Also good mixing milk shakes. Would recommend this product.
A fun device to own and use.Quality as expected.Don't let the water evaporate~!Enjoy at a good price.
the unit was as advertised. It was delivered promptly and everything was excellent.
Our favorite chef from Echo, Oregon told us about this wonderful little tool--she says she can do reductions in cooking and the little autostir keeps it from sticking while it cooks/simmers for hours at a time. It will be a great addition to my new kitchen once our home is rebuilt.
